I feel bad about the relatively low score I've awarded this item, as it can clearly be construed as user error. I bought this "telescope" as a present for my mother-in-law, and after setting it up, waiting for it to get dark and walking outside to try it, discovered that this is only a star finder with no optics at all. The images are inside of the scope.

Didn't really get that from the instructions here. Waste of money, although I'm sure she'll enjoy using it to help learn about what she's looking at when she gets a real telescope.

This star finder is a good idea but the viewing area is too small. It is difficult to read the small print and see everything. It would be much better with a larger viewing area. Not worth the price of almost $50.
